Fall 2024

Masking is optional for any individual who wishes to wear one.

However, if you have tested positive for COVID-19, or you are exhibiting symptoms in the days leading up to the exam administration, you must not enter the building on exam day before contacting OEBC at exams@oebc.ca.

Ontario Health Guidelines determine that you should stay home if you are unwell and have tested positive for COVID-19.

After testing positive for COVID-19, the duration of contagiousness can vary. However, individuals are typically contagious for about 10 days after the onset of symptoms. For those with mild to moderate symptoms, this period can be shorter, often around 5-7 days.

The health and safety of our candidates and exam personnel is of paramount importance to us. OEBC has implemented these strategies for the safe continuation of the OSCE administration.

If there is a situation beyond the control of the candidate (i.e., illness, an accident, emergency, bereavement), the candidate may apply to OEBC for a deferment to the next administration. Please reach out to exams@oebc.ca to discuss this deferment option or any other questions you may have.

Please note: appealing on the grounds of COVID-19 will not be accepted as a base for an appeal.
