Spring 2023
Please note, even though the Government of Ontario lifted the mask mandate on March 21, 2022, all exam locations will still require ALL persons entering the building to wear a medical grade mask, regardless of vaccination status.
If you:
· have tested positive for COVID-19 on a PCR, Rapid Molecular, or Rapid Antigen test.
· have been told by Public Health that you have a “probable case” of COVID-19.
· or you are considered to have COVID-19
You must: self-isolate immediately from the day your symptoms started or the day of your positive test result (if you have no symptoms).
To find out how long you need to self-isolate, review the table below or link provided:
| 5 Days after symptom onset or positive test date, whichever happened first
|
| 10 Days after symptom onset or positive test date, whichever happened first
|
The recommended length of self-isolation is calculated from the dates of the specimen collection or symptom onset (whichever is earlier). The length of self- isolation also depends on age, vaccination status, severity of infection, and immune status. In all scenarios, symptoms need to be improving for 24 hours (or 48 hours if gastrointestinal symptoms) and there must be no fever present prior to ending self-isolation
You must not enter the building on exam day if you are showing symptoms and/or have tested positive within the timeframes noted in the chart above.
You must contact OEBC immediately, if you are affected by COVID 19 which will impact your exam attempt.
